A Roman Duchess of Malfi

The Duchess of Malfi a Jacobean revenge tragedy written in 1612 by John Webster, made notorious for his violent and brutal plays upon the Jacobean stage. This design concept is based upon the contrast between the feuding murderous families of ancient Rome, particularly that of the Julio-Claudian dynasty. The brutal and never ending murders unrelenting as the character within play itself.
